7/10
Shirt condition
Good condition, worn
This shirt has been worn and it shows up close: some pilling and small white specks in the knit (photo 6), and a few small pulled threads near the bottom hem (photo 7). The colours are still strong, the embroidered rooster is intact, and both the KANTE 13 on the back and the 13 on the chest lie flat. An honest shirt to wear, sold at the right price.

The essentials on this piece
This shirt has lived, and I would rather show you. Pilling and small white specks on the body (photo 6), a few pulled threads at the bottom (photo 7). Nothing is torn, nothing runs, and the lettering is in good shape. Its 7/10 rating and its price take all of this into account.
100% AUTHENTIC
✦ Lifetime authenticity guarantee
Checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me ever turned out not to be authentic, I refund it in full. No expiry: only original pieces, never modern reissues.
Inner Nike label (photo 4): code CD0700-498, size S, production batch and barcode
Embroidered FFF rooster: raised white embroidery, two stars and sharp FFF letters (photo 3)
Fabric: the horizontal stripes are woven into the knit in several shades of blue
Cut and finish: navy ribbed crew neck, woven Nike tag at the hem
Workshop note — The -498 suffix of code CD0700 refers to the navy colourway of the 2020 home shirt. On the Nike label, this code must match the size printed just above it exactly: it does here.
Kanté and the postponed Euro
Planned for 2020, the Euro was pushed back a year by the pandemic. Les Bleus, reigning world champions, went in as favourites wearing this striped navy shirt.
15 June 2021, in Munich. France beat Germany 1-0 in their opener. N'Golo Kanté won everything in midfield and was named man of the match.
The run ended in the round of 16 against Switzerland, after a 3-3 draw and a lost penalty shoot-out.
The 13 has been Kanté's number for France since 2016, the one he already wore when they won the 2018 World Cup.
The white specks and pilling show up close, especially in direct light. At a normal distance, the shirt looks clean. The pulled threads are at the bottom, near the hem.
Why "2020" if the Euro was played in 2021?
The shirt was launched in 2020 for the Euro planned that year. The tournament kept the name Euro 2020 despite being moved to summer 2021.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the label with code CD0700-498, which you can check yourself, then the rooster embroidery and the stripes woven into the knit.
How does this S fit?
It measures 47 cm pit to pit and 72 cm in length. It is a standard S: if you wear S on the high street, it will fit you.
