The navy and the bright blue stripes are crisp, with no fading, and the red chest band is vivid. The embroidered cockerel has no pulled threads. Minimal wear: I only note a tiny light dot near the cockerel, barely visible (photo 6). The GIROUD 9 printing lies flat.

100% AUTHENTIC
✦ Lifetime authenticity guarantee
Checked by hand in my authentication workshop. If a piece bought from me ever turned out not to be authentic, I refund it in full. The guarantee never expires: only original pieces, never modern re-editions.
Embroidered cockerel: raised white cockerel with blue outline, two stars and FFF letters embroidered (photo 3)
Stripes and red band: built into the fabric, perfectly aligned from one side of the shirt to the other (photos 2 and 3)
Cut and finish: ribbed navy crew neck, FFF logo printed at the nape, woven Nike tag at the bottom of the front (photo 2)
Workshop note — CD0700-498 is Nike's reference for the 2020 home shirt in supporter version, and the SU20 batch prefix stands for the summer 2020 collection, the one planned for the Euro before it was postponed. On this model I check how the stripes line up at the side seams. I never count the printing among my proofs.
The postponed Euro and Giroud's 9
Launched for Euro 2020, this shirt ended up waiting a year: the pandemic pushed the tournament back to summer 2021. Les Bleus went in as world champions, with Karim Benzema recalled alongside Olivier Giroud.
28 June 2021, Bucharest. In the last 16, France were knocked out by Switzerland on penalties after a wild 3-3 draw.
Les Bleus' number 9. A 2018 world champion wearing this number, Giroud would become France's all-time top scorer in December 2022, ahead of Thierry Henry.
This navy home shirt with its red band remains one of the most memorable of that period.
Nike designed it for Euro 2020. Postponed by a year because of the pandemic, the tournament was played in June and July 2021 with this same shirt.
Does the flaw show when worn?
No. It is a tiny light dot near the cockerel, which I show in close-up (photo 6) to be transparent. At normal distance it goes unnoticed.
How can I check the shirt is authentic?
Look at the small inner tag: the code CD0700-498 and size S must be on it. You can type CD0700-498 into a search engine to check the model yourself.
How does this S fit?
True to size, with good length: 48 cm pit to pit and 75 cm long. If you wear S on the high street, it will fit.
